The Senate president, Bukola Saraki says the legislative arm has developed two proposals to help rollback the tide of drugs in the country.
He made this known via his twitter handle. The tweet read “Levels of drug abuse among young people have reached proportions never seen in this country. The impact of addiction on society is incalculable. We have developed two legislative proposals to help rollback the tide of drugs in our communities. #ChildrensDay”
In a separate tweet, he highlighted the two proposals “These include the Dangerous Drugs Act (Amendment) Bill, 2016; and the Counterfeit, Fake Drugs and Unwholesome Processes Amendment Bill – both of which we have passed at the Senate. The Mental Health Bill is undergoing consideration. #ChildrensDay”
